Cooper Hummel is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Cascade, IA who attends Cascade High School. Recorded a 8.29 second sixty yard dash time. Bigger physical frame and build. Primary first baseman, that moves well around the bag. Fields up the middle with a shorter arm action and lower arm slot with good arm strength. Left-handed hitter, starts from a narrow base with an upright stance and even hands with a high back elbow, utilizes a leg lift stride. Creates separation with a quick lower stride and some whip to the hands. Strength off the barrel. Stays shorter to it and longer through it. Getting weight through the swing with power and hard contact. Good bat speed with lift from the backside rotation. Exciting player with a high ceiling. Great student.
