Matthew Kosderka is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Boring, OR who attends Sandy. Features a bigger build with strength present. Primary right-handed hitter. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery into drop and drive mechanics. Stays under control well down the mound. Display quick arm speed throughout longer arm action. Throws from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball got up to 88 mph with ride through the zone. Throws it for strikes often and can get whiffs when elevated. Pairs well with a curveball at 72-75 mph showing 12-6 action. Showed spin rates over 2400 rpm. Flashed a low-80’s changeup with arm speed deception. Still developing confidence in the offering. Intriguing arm overall with swing and miss stuff present. Worked out in the outfield. Charges the ball hard with effort to and through the catchpoint. Displayed a clean exchange into strong, accurate throws. Reach 86 mph during workouts. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an even base stance into a moderate leg kick timing mechanism. Approach is geared toward the pullside, showing the ability to get the bat head out front. Shows strong hands at contact. Can drive balls well when on time. Excellent student. Named to the Southwest Prospect Top Prospect List.
