Braxton Webb is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends Mckinney Boyd. Large, athletic build with a lean but well proportioned frame and nice present strength. Ran a 7.17 60-yard. Primary left-handed pitcher, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a full arm action in back. Deliberate windup on the mound, no wasted movements, lands open with front foot at times. Generates nice downhill plane with a very clean arm action and ability to get on top of the ball with extension out front and a sound follow through. Fastball topped at 86 mph, worked consistent mid-80s and spotted low to arm side consistently but showed ability to get to glove side. Changeup shows big time potential at 75 mph with late fade to arm side from same arm slot. Short steps to the ball in the outfield, strong arm with sound mechanics, ball comes out clean. Right-handed batter, creates line drive contact with a short path to the ball. Sound approach with nice bat speed and life off barrel. Named to South Underclass Top Prospect List. Very good student.
