Jake Gelof is a 2020 SS/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Rehoboth Beach, DE who attends IMG Academy. Recorded a 6.89 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with long legs, broad shoulders, and a very projectable build. Primary shortstop with a full arm stroke and very good arm strength recorded up to 91 mph across the diamond. Gets extended out front well with good athleticism and balance to actions. Arm strength also played from the outfield. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a side step into a high leg lift above the belt. Long arm stroke and mixed in an 11/5 curveball with some depth. Fields position well and utilizes a drop and drive backside approach. Righthanded hitter with a narrow base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Uphill swing path with some loft to the plane. Has some present bat speed and does well at extending with strength through the point of impact. Good student. Named to the 2018 Jr. National Showcase Top Prospect List.
