Jonathan Larrea is a 2022 C/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Queens, NY who attends Baylor. Recorded a 7.35 second sixty-yard dash time. Athletic frame with some present strength and room to add. Primary catcher with a compact, fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Starts from a side-saddled set up, gaining ground towards his target with quick, short actions and showing present arm strength. Efficient movements in all facets allow for very accurate throws to bags that were recorded up 78 mph behind the dish in drills. Secondary third baseman with aggressive approach, clean funnel out in front with a smooth transfer. Fluid, athletic actions with ability to throws from all angles, recording throws up to 83 mph across the diamond in drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a spread stance, wrapped hand load and slight gliding trigger. Contact oriented swing with elongated swing path and fairly decent bat-to-ball skills.
