Julian Barzilli is a 2009 SS/3B with a 5'11'', 175 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Notre Dame. Barzilli has a medium sized frame with a medium build. He has a compact and athletic body. Defensively, Barzilli has a good set-up to the baseball and has good actions. He shows good versitility being able to play 3 infield spots well. He has good hands with some arm strength. Barzilli has a quick release and can make the flashy play. At the plate, Barzilli starts with a straight stance and a quiet approach in the box. He swings on a flat path and is short to the baseball. Barzilli has quick hands and generates bat speed. He gets good use out of his lower half and has some leverage at contact.
