2017 Midwest Underclass Showcase
Gunnar Kozlowitz is a 2019 1B/3B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Littleton, CO who attends Heritage. Large frame with board shoulder and a strong, solid build. Primary first baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while centering the baseball. Funnels out front and works through exchanged with fluid actions. Changes arm angle while throwing on the run but primarily released from a three-quarter slot topping at 75 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to contact with a naturally lifted plane through extension. Flashed solid bat speed with strength at contact. Swung with intent and employed a gap to gap approach. Showed solid feel for the barrel late in round with the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. Good student as well.
