Vincent Tinajero is a 2020 C/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Santa Ana, CA who attends Santa Ana. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran an 8.72 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a lower set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, remains compact through actions, can implement additional footwork into gaining ground, longer arm stroke through the back, lower slot on throws down to second base. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a gliding leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Does a nice job of staying short to the ball, keeps hands inside it and shows quickness to his barrel. Moving parts to lower half in swing, linear path through the zone with line drive contact off the barrel to all fields while showing a handle for the barrel. Very good student.
