Conner Spelman is a 2023 C/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Oviedo, FL who attends Lake Howell. Big athletic body with some present strength and room for plenty more, really projects well physically. Right handed hitter, deep hand load, has a full extended swing with good lift out front, uses his lower half well and uncoils into his swing, showed strength in his swing and plenty of power potential, nice game swings with power to both mid field and the pull side, lots of hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.97 runner in the sixty. Has solid lower half mechanics behind the plate defensively, good arm strength for a sophomore, release mechanics can get long at times, has a good idea how to frame pitches and has soft hands receiving the ball. Talented young catcher who will keep improving. Good student. Named to the Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
