2023 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Robert Mitchell is a 2024 RHP/IF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Oviedo. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Has a well paced delivery with an over the top arm slot from a high front side that he repeats well. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 86 mph, was up to 90 mph last summer, gets nice consistent cutting action on his fastball that misses barrels. Curveball was an out pitch for him, high spin rates and good 11/5 depth, through his curveball for strikes at will and over matched hitters with the pitch. Polished pitcher who looks set up for a big spring and summer. Very good student, verbal commitment to Wake Forest. Named to the Preseason HS Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
