Brandyn Gonzalez is a 2022 OF/ with a 6-1 181 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Matter Academy Lakes. Larger frame with longer limbs and present strength. Primary outfielder with clean, smooth footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Funnels out front and worked through exchange with loose actions. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot generating uphill carry to the bag at 82 mph. Left handed hitter with a slightly crouched, open stance and simple front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct hand path to contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Flashed present bat speed with strength at contact. Primarily looked to attack the baseball with intent while aggressively turning the barrel. Consistently generated sharp contact off the barrel to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Also pitched utilizing a full over head to medium leg lift delivery. Loose arm circle at take back and released from an extended three-quarters slot. Fastball created occasional run to arm side in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 78 mph. Curveball created looser 10/5 shape with occasional sweep to glove side in the mid 60's. Consistently looked to challenge hitters to the bottom quadrants of the zone. Named to the 2020 National Underclass East Showcase, Top Prospect List.
