Caylon Dygert is a 2023 RHP/C/IF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Magnolia West. Long athletic frame with excellent projection. Primary right-handed pitcher, filled in pitching late in this event. Clean and balanced delivery with loose and athletic movements, clean arm stroke and repeats well, good feel for 3 pitches. Sat 88-89 with solid life on the fastball, challenges hitters with it and pounds the zone. Very good feel for tight low-80s slider, gets good depth and short lateral bite, able to adjust speed and shape a bit to give different looks. Also showed good feel for killing spin on changeup, dives hard off the fastball. Really knows how to pitch and all 3 project well to the next level. Can also really catch, athletic defender and works through the ball well, very good arm and puts strong throws on the bag. Ton of feel for the barrel, found it right away in game action and impressive as a two-way prospect. Outstanding student. Named to South TP Games Top Prospect List.
