Cayden Clark is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Erda, UT who attends Stansbury. A primary outfielder, Clark has a long and athletic frame. Very good speed running a 6.88 second sixty-yard dash. Sits back some to read the hop. Athleticism provides some things to like in the outfield, and the arm is very strong, up to 88 miles per hour. At the plate, Clark works from a spread, even stance, with a simple leg lift trigger and rotational lower half. Has a clean hand path, controls the barrel well, and has a line drive barrel plane. Uses a middle of the field approach, but shows the ability to work to all fields well. Secondary pitcher with a slow and controlled delivery. Creates some good direction down the mound and has a fluid and whippy arm works from a high three-quarters arm slot. Shows advanced pitchability and is able to throw three quality pitches for strikes. Fastball sits in the low-80s, topping at 84 miles per hour, and the curveball has good 11-to-5 shape with some late break in the high-60s. Changeup in the mid-70s has some good run and sink late and the depth to be a swing and miss pitch. Really impressive ability to throw both secondary pitches in any count. Good student. Named to the 2019 Sunshine West Showcase, Top Prospect List.
