2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (June 23)
Kade Elam is a 2025 SS/MIF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Barbourville, KY who attends Corbin. Recorded a 6.90 second sixty-yard dash time. Large, well-proportioned frame with long levers, square shoulders and plenty of time to add strength. Primary infielder with fundamentally sound defensive skill set that profiles at third base long term. Moves well laterally from side-to-side with good reactionary movements to field cleanly out in-front, while working downhill through the baseball. Deliberate pace, shows ability to throw from multiple arm angles when necessary and recorded arm strength up to 79 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, upright and open stance with a high back elbow and hanging leg lift trigger. Compact, line drive stroke with flatter swing path and plenty of present bat speed. Generates explosive hip torque and turns the barrel well on the inner-half. Mostly middle-of-the field impact with strong hands and good feel for the barrel. Flashed some power potential that will continue to expand as he makes some minor adjustments and incorporates some more lift to his swing. Solid overall skill set with plenty of projection and upside remaining. Excellent Student. Verbally committed to the University of Louisville. Named to the 2022 WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
