Brandon Peterson is a 2022 SS/RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Utica, NY who attends P27 Academy. Large frame with a physical appearance showing strength throughout the frame. Ran a 7.03 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, bouncing around as he moves to the baseball with urgency. Gathers out front as he is confident with the glove. Extra steps after the transfer as he makes sure to get some carry on the baseball. Arm strength present as he threw it 86 mph during drills. Feel for the position showing. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side step to a belt high lift. Drop and drive mechanics as he proved to be simple in the delivery. Higher slot releases as he filled up the zone with a riding fastball. Topped out at 89 mph and sat in the mid-80's. Works downhill and made guys prove they could square up the heater. Curveball showing 11-to-5 break in the low-70's with depth. Left-Handed Hitter, starting balanced with an open front side. Low leg lift to stride as the hands get high. Looks to lift the baseball into the right-center gap and proved he could do just that. Power in the bat as he took a solid round of batting practice. Squared it up in game as he found the barrel with every cut he took. Outstanding Student. Verbal commit to New Jersey Tech. Named to National Uncommitted Top Prospect List.
