2018 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Chase Allen is a 2020 RHP/ with a 6-5 205 lb. frame from Lakewood, CO who attends Regis Jesuit HS. Extra-large, strong physical frame with significant durability and size to the profile. Righthanded pitcher who only pitched during the event. Short side step into a belt high leg lift with a quick pause at the top of the balance point. Full arm stroke through a higher three-quarters arm slot. Heavy fastball and hides it well while topping out at 88 mph. Explosive lower half and uses his hips well through extension. Fastball flashed some cutting action and threw lots of strikes. Filled up the strike zone nicely and got a lot of swing and miss on the curveball. Can locate the fastball to either side of the plate nicely and seemed to get whiffs on almost everything he threw. Named to the PG Fall TP Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
