Jaron Nevarez is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from San Ramon, CA who attends San Ramon Valley. Ran a 7.19-second sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with a medium frame and build. Fields out front with active footwork, showcasing some quickness to the ball and rounding angles to field. Has a quick transfer to throw, getting on top of the ball well and making throws with some cutting action to bases at 88 mph. Left-handed hitter that starts from a slightly open stance, with a high hand set and easy hands through the zone. Stays loose in the swing, getting the barrel out front and making hard contact to the pull-side. Shows good feel for the barrel with present bat-to-ball skills, projecting for more power as the frame continues to mature. Secondary left-handed pitcher that starts from the windup with a big side step into a leg lift that reaches up past the belt. Has a short stride down the mound, with a shorter arm action in the back from a three-quarter slot. Has developing arm speed and sits 79-84 mph with the fastball, mixing speeds well with a short curveball with 1-7 shape in the low-70s and a changeup at 75 mph. Good student.
