Jonathan Fitz is a 2023 C/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 189 lb. frame from Edgewood, KY who attends Covington Catholic. Medium, athletic frame with physical strength throughout and additional room to grow. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set in drills, receives out front, quick transfer and showed nice catch-and-throw skills in live actions, gains ground with lower half coming out, works around the bag and shows big arm strength and carry from a tight release. Also pitched, side step into a leg lift up past belt, short and online arm action working to a three-quarters release point. Showed comfort working fastball to glove side, occasionally cuts the ball with release, up to 87 mph on heater, slower tempo to delivery. Developing feel for curveball up to 72 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and lower back elbow at the plate; utilizes a hover leg lift trigger in the box. Gets rotational with swing at times, keep hands inside the ball, has some strength in hands, length to swing through the zone, gets it out front, works to all fields. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
