Will Strode is a 2024 RHP/1B, 3B, SS, MIF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Owensboro, KY who attends Apollo. Large frame with a lean build & broad shoulders. Ran a 8.38 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, balanced throughout the motion as he lifts before showing drop & drive mechanics. Medium arm circle in the back and then released from a higher slot. Whip to the arm as he was up to 80 mph with the fastball. Looked to elevate the fastball when possible. Mixed in a slider that he landed for strikes and a fading changeup as well. Secondary First Baseman, sitting back on the baseball before gathering out front. Works into extra shuffles before releasing the baseball. Accurate around the bag as he threw it 78 mph. Fundamental with his footwork while proving to have feel for the position. Secondary Infielder, similar fielding actions to over at first base as he works around the baseball. Scoops it up and then works into transfers. Was able to change arm slots and maintain accuracy as he threw it 78 mph here as well. Right-Handed Hitter, starting with a balanced and slightly open front side. Works into a toe tap to a deep hand load before drifting forward. Linear swing path as he created easy bat speed with strength in the hands. Proved he could get extended as he drove it to the pull-side. Will show power down the road when he fills out the frame.
