Ryan Hunter is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends Archbishop McCarthy. On the mound he works out of the stretch and shows really nice arm speed with good use of the lower body down the mound. Fastball has life on it and seemed to get on hitters quickly, sometimes would cut off his front side. Flashed slower breaking ball that was thrown for strikes. In the outfield his athleticism shows through, he works through the ball with good arm speed again. The throws were erratic but is an easy fix being a little more smooth, the throws had definite carry. In batting practice he showed strength with a rotational swing where upper and lower body are in great sync. Got great extension with bat speed, elevated balls to pull side. Good student.
