Ben Cleary is a 2023 SS/2B/3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Half Moon Bay, CA who attends Junipero Serra. Medium young build with plenty of time and room to fill out and get stronger. Right handed hitter, has quick hands at the plate and a nice short swing, moves into contact well with his lower half, pull line drive contact and barreled up consistently, has hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.39 runner, fields out front with soft hands, has quick lower half actions and moves well to the ball, can throw from multiple arm slots with developing arm strength, shows his young athleticism well. Also pitched, compact arm action with simple, repeatable mechanics and a 3/4's arm slot, stays on top of the ball well at release. Fastball topped out at 75 mph, gets outstanding running action at times and got inside well to right handed hitters. Curveball has good power and spin and some late 11/5 biting action. Projectable young player who will keep improving.
