He ran a 7.63 60 yard dash which is an average time for his age group. A primary RHP, Cole shows plus average arm strength as evidenced by his 80 mph fastball velocity. His 77-80 fastball range was highlighted by the fact that his heater shows both cut and run. His 3/4 to high 3/4 slot, couple with his shorter arm action, helps with his deception. His 70 mph breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape and shows some depth at the plate. As Cole continues his assent in the game and gets his feet wet at the high school level, he will unquestionably grow as a pitcher. His current fundamental ability along with his bulldog mentality on the hill, will certainly serve him well in the years to come. Cole also took his turn in the outfield, where his 77 mph arm strength really played well. His movements to position and field are sound and he transitions to throw quite well. Over at first base, Cole again showed solid fundamental ability. He positions well, his glove plays at or above average. He transitions well and his 71 mph throws were on the money. At the plate, Cole shows a sound approach and emerging strength with the bat. His middle of the field approach is a sound concept and allows him to get his barrel to and through contact consistently. Continued reps and exposure to upper level play will help round out his offense and his hit game.
