Marcus Dierks is a 2023 SS/RHP, 2B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Kansas City, KS who attends Sumner Academy Of Arts & Science. Lean athletic frame. Ran a 6.64 60-yard dash. A primary middle infielder with a quick first step, developing fundamental footwork, some range laterally to both sides, developing arm strength and accuracy. At the plate hit from an open stance with a small leg kick for timing, showed a direct hand path to the ball with some vertical bat angle working through the zone. Developing ability to get swing in sync with back side rotation. On the mound showed a fastball and curveball combo out of a traditional three-quarter arm slot. Straight mid 70's fastball and a curve with 11-5 type shape to it. Average strike throwing ability with both pitches.
