Drew Medley is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Gaffney, SC who attends Gaffney. Medium present frame with long limbs and lean muscular development and a lot of time to add. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 6.88 seconds. Primary position OF, working deliberately through his reps, glove presented well out front into clean transfer. Squares up well to allow for shorter over the top arm action producing throws up to 87 mph to bags. Really good carry and accuracy. Complete tool set to be outstanding defender. Secondary RHP again using compact arm action and consistent inline transition down the mound. Methodical operation to foot strike and then explosive with his core at release to build solid arm speed. FB up to 84 mph with average spin profiles. Secondary offerings were CB with depth in the low-70's and tumbling CH with deadening 1,500's rpm. Emerging control with off speed pitches and maintained overall stuff very well when in the stretch. RHH working from a wide and inline stance, good hand set with significant bat tilt. Small toe tap to work to contact and fairly steep barrel approach to high finish. Occasional timing issues but when on plane showed solid contact and projectable hit tool. Elite performer in the classroom and interesting two-way potential on the field.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
