JJ Spafford is a 2024 2B/MIF, OF with a 5-1 110 lb. frame from Bentonville, AR who attends Bentonville. Young, square shouldered frame, lean and projectable build and will continue to add strength and develop physically moving forward. Ran an 8.78 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front, works into a compact arm action on throws, gets under the ball at release at times but shows accuracy across the diamond, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even and bent knee stance, hands and barrel start pulled back at start. Simple swing and approach in the box, compact swing mechanics and shows rhythm. Timed up well at the plate and shows a handle for the barrel, creates line drive contact when squared. Very good student.
