Kayden Ward is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Sachse. Lean athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Very good runner, 6.60 in the sixty. Has nice quickness in the outfield on defense and comes and gets the ball well, sound fundamentals in his transition and footwork, whippy high slot arm with good carry and plus accuracy. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open stance with a long and aggressive swing, generates lots of bat speed and plenty of lift and extension, power approach on a smaller build that played big in the games. Also pitched, has a clean athletic delivery with a full arm action in back and a high 3/4's arm slot, lands open with his front side. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with moderate arm side running action. Curveball was his pitch, gets hard tight spin and sharp biting action when in the zone. Quick twitch athlete with some big tools. Good student, verbal commitment to Stephen F. Austin. Named to the Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect List.
