2022 PG Softball Winter Scouting Combine - Iowa
Halle Cuddeback is a 5-foot-10, class of 2025 LHP/1B from Washington, IA who attends Washington HS. Halle is a young and upcoming athletic player who shows promising ability at more than one position. She can also swing the bat! In addition to her emerging skill on the diamond, Halle is also an exemplary student! She ran a 6.39 40-yard dash and added a 4.03 HP to 1B time. She also posted a 5'0 standing broad jump. A primary LHP, Halle uses long levers to throw a very heavy ball that shows solid movement. Her best pitch at this point in her career is an active drop ball. Her rise shows promise and her change-up shows certain positive action. Halle also took a turn at 1B where her long and lean build played quite well. She shows consistent first step quickness and positions routinely. Her efficient arm action helps her powerful arm unleash 61-mph throws that are firm and show routine carry and accuracy. At the plate, Halle's approach is consistent. She is an advanced bunter. She is more inside-out with her bat path and works the middle of the diamond to the opposite field quite well. She is especially impressive when she cuts her barrel lose and lets her hands work. There is a lot to like about Halle's ability to swing the bat and the best is yet to come. Halle has a plus overall game that is based on a sound fundamental approach. As her young career continues and she is exposed to more opportunities to increase her strength and agility, as well as play at a higher competitive level, her game is certain to take off. Big things on the horizon for this young, talented player!
