Jayson Schrick is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Lenexa, KS who attends Olathe Northwest. He has a tall frame with a lean and athletic build and a high waist. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.71 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that works exclusively from the stretch. He creates torque in his motion by taking his knee to his back shoulder. He has quick, jerky actions and does a nice job of pushing down the mound and lands slightly open to the plate. He has a short arm action and fires from a 3/4 slot. He has a twitchy motion and the ball explodes out of his hand at release. He did a nice job of working his fastball to both sides of the plate to keep hitters uncomfortable. He worked a 12-6 curveball off of the heater with sharp break and advanced depth that showed slight horizontal movement at times. He is a bulldog on the mound, going after hitters and consistently working ahead in counts. Secondary first baseman that fields the ball in the middle of his body and transfers it to his throwing hand cleanly. He showed solid turns when throwing to second and made accurate throws to the targets. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even base with high hands and a high back elbow. He uses a hover leg kick for timing and works directly to the ball. He has an up-the-middle approach and sent several hard line drives up the middle and in the gaps. He has a loose swing and a good feel for the barrel at the plate. Named to the 2023 14U Midwest All-State Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
