Ian Williams is a 2023 1B/3B with a 6-2 300 lb. frame from Lacey, WA who attends River Ridge. He has a big frame with a large build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 9.07 seconds. Primary first baseman that showed good footwork when fielding and receiving balls around the base. He has a good feel for the glove and throws with a loose arm that resulted in accurate throws. Right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base in an upright stance. He starts with his hands away from his body and has a direct swing path to the ball. His swing is rotational without much weight transfer. He looks to hit the ball out in front of the plate and has some power to the pull side that displayed with a long double off the left field fence in game action. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
