Cameron Matz is a 2023 SS/ with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Keller, TX who attends Keller. Recorded a 7.09 second sixty yard dash time. High-waisted frame with a long and lanky build and plenty of room to fill out. Primary shortstop with quick feet, gets into position well and keeps his feet moving throughout the fielding process. Loose arm action, releases from a lower slot. Clean actions and glove work overall, has solid fundamentals and can make the plays. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and tight hand set, utilizes a big toe tap trigger and a direct hand path. Limited depth created behind with the barrel, will improve as his loosens the hands and gets the barrel on plane earlier. Level bat path with a contact-oriented approach, made consistent ground ball contact. Excellent student.
