Devin Singh is a 2024 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from West Windsor, NJ who attends West Windsor-Plainsboro South. Recorded a 5.11 second forty-yard dash time. Long, lanky frame with tons of projection remaining and plenty of room to add strength. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Deliberate paced delivery with lower leg lift into balance, drop-and-drive lower mechanics and some extension out in front. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 76 mph from a high, extended three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in promising 12-6 curveball for strikes that flashed late, sharp bite at times. Will continue to improve with minor refinements mechanically and additional velocity. Secondary first baseman with a developing defensive skill set. Incorporates deliberate footwork into the fielding process and around the bag, fields slightly deep and maintains some momentum into his throws. Recorded arm strength up to 78 mph across the diamond during drills. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout as well; displayed similar deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process and fields cleanly off his front foot. Stays behind the baseball well and works efficiently into an over-the-top arm slot to throw, recorded online, accurate throws up to 78 mph as well during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wide, slightly crouched stance with a high hand set and toe-tap trigger for timing. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics and pushed away hand load to get the swing going. Hand driven swing with strong hands, developing feel for the barrel and occasional loud impact to the right center field gap. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Developing, young prospect with plenty of projection remaining on both sides of the ball. Good Student.
