Frank Costa is a 2023 OF with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Mullica Hill, NJ who attends St. Joseph's Prep. Large, lanky frame with a high waits, some lean muscle throughout and room to physically mature. Primary outfielder that uses deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process, displays a clean gather off his front foot and carries some momentum into release. Slightly elongated transfer process, works into a longer arm action and recorded arm strength up to 79 mph during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly closed stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small leg lift trigger. Hands driven swing with minimal lower half engagement and pullside mentality. Creates some leverage due to length and occasionally impacts the baseball when on-time and in-sync. Displayed developing bat-to-ball skills that will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments. Projectable frame with some upside remaining on both sides of the baseball.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
