2023 West Academic Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Luciano Abish is a 2024 OF/RHP with a lean, athletic 6-0 170 lb. frame from West Hills, CA who attends Oaks Christian HS. Started the event clocking a 7.12 60-yard dash. A primary outfielder that has proper glove/footwork techniques and working through the baseball with relative ease and athleticism. Was accurate with his throws and showed carry to the bases. Abish was barreling up baseballs consistently in his BP round pounding the gaps with his easy swing. On the mound he featured a 3-pitch mix that included a fastball, curveball, and a split. Showed an easy repeatable delivery out of a high 3/4 slot. Fastball showed life at times, while the curveball was his out pitch demonstrating late break. Overall in his 2-innings pitched, showed the ability too throw strikes. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
