John Ravela is a 2024 OF/MIF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Southfield, MI who attends Birmingham Groves. Ran a 7.79 second sixty. Primary outfielder with a medium build. Bends at the waits to receive the ball out front before moving into the throws with some extra steps into the gather while showing young arm strength on the throws to the bases. Showed some young actions with the glove on the infield waiting back on the ball and receiving the ball with firm hands and showing developing accuracy across the diamond. Left-handed hitter, starts with an open base doing a nice job of getting back to even with a leg lift trigger as he looks to create leverage at the point of contact creating some power from the ground up as he gets into the lower half. Was able to impact the ball best the pull side with some developing feel for the barrel but the ability to get the ball in the air on the inner half. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
