Carter Amelse is a 2025 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Coon Rapids, MN who attends Blaine. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran an 8.29 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, employs drop and drive lower half mechanics coming down the mound; longer arm action through the back but hides it well to create some deception while working to an over-the-top release point. Works on top of the ball well and creates some downhill angle while getting to the bottom of the zone well, induces ground ball contact with a fastball that topped out at 75 mph and mixed a curveball at 63 mph. Sound glove skills at first base, fields it out front and funnels cleanly, quickness in actions will continue to improve as will footwork away from the bag. Right-handed hitter, begins with a square stance in the box with wide base. Longer swing path through the zone, shows good balance in mechanics with present bat speed through the zone. Best when working on a linear path, gets rotational at times but shows flashes of strength when squared. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
