Yamphier Fernandez is a 2024 1B/OF with a 6-3 237 lb. frame from Caguas, PR who attends IBAHS. Physical build with present size and big levers. Ran a 8.01 in the 60-yard dash. Outfielder, showed an accurate arm to the bag with good depth to his release. First baseman, fields in middle of his stance well with sound fundamentals. Solid throws on his turns and made it to the bag with solid accuracy. Right-handed hitter, open stance and wider base with high hand set. Works the barrel out front with good strength and intent in the path. Gets extended with strong hands. Loud impact to both gaps in his rounds, showing big impact strength and physicality. Lots of strength in the path that can really impact mistakes. Excellent student.
