Hamza Al Mathno is a 2027 C/MIF with a 5-5 120 lb. frame from Toronto, ON who attends St. Michaels College. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.94 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, taller set up behind the plate during drills, feet come out of crouch well, works around the bag with throws, transfer will continue to quicken and arm strength will keep developing to second base. Moved well laterally in the dirt, fields the ball out front with two hands, longer arm action on throws across the diamond, deliberate pace in actions. Right-handed hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and lower back elbow in the box; rotational swing with a longer path through the zone. Occasionally gets to front side early, does a nice job of working on a linear path and employs a contact oriented approach, best contact when getting front foot down on time. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
