2023 13U/14U Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Larry Crawford is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Highlands Ranch, CO who attends Mountain Vista High School. Extremely lean and projectable athletic frame with some lean strength already budding. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, active to it and through it, one hand gather to side with lower slot release, longer process in general but has an idea in the grass and showed off projectable actions. Secondary left-handed pitcher, full windup from the middle of the rubber, short hand break out of the glove leads to short mid depth arm path in the back, comes through a low three-quarters slot, hides it quite well up until release, gets slight crossbody action with the ball coming out of the ear, tough to pick up on and created uncomfortable at bats in game action, gets extended well down the slope with a fluid and well segmented delivery that works. Spotted the fastball glove side all outing and showed a very good curveball with sweep and late depth to it. Left-handed hitter, spread square base, high hands and high back elbow set, heel lift with no stride, carried one out to the warning track, consistent hard pull side contact with an idea to handle the stick and turn it over. Very projectable project with components to like all over. Named to the 2023 13U/14U Sunshine Rocky Mountain Top Prospect List.
