Wesley Dill is a 2027 RHP/C, SS with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Blythe, CA who attends Palo Verde. Features a slender build with room to add. Ran an 8.73 60-yard dash. Displayed a patient approach throughout infield workouts. Presents the glove early and catches the routine ball consistently. Still developing ability to maintain momentum through the catch point. Throws were accurate across the diamond. More arm strength should come as the frame continues to develop. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a narrow base and high back elbow. Displays a direct path through the zone. Has the ability to use the entire field often. Adding more loft to the path and more strength to the frame would help generate more in-game power. Also threw as a righthanded pitcher. Uses a semi-windup delivery into tall and fall mechanics down the mound. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. Has the ability to repeat the low effort operation. The fastball sat 66-70 mph with flashes of a quality downhill plane at times. The offering was thrown for strikes often and flashed the ability to get whiffs at the top of the zone. Still developing feel for the curveball. The offering sat 59-62 mph with short, slurve action. Flashed the ability to create bite when located at the bottom of the zone. Solid foundation overall with the ability to compete using quality fastball command. Has time to further develop the mechanics and pitch mix. Excellent student.
