2023 Sunshine South Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Austin Traverse is a 2025 2B/SS with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Tomball. Primary middle infielder with a young slender build. Ran a 7.09 second sixty. Actions on the infield are projectable with a level of comfortability playing the ball away from the body and funneling in cleanly. Showed average arm strength with accurate throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open stance and even base. Starts the swing with a subtle stride getting the front side down on time. Bat path gets through the zone with developing bat speeding approach that prioritizes the middle of the field with extension at the point of contact. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
