KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Morning Session
Taylor Renzi is a 5'6, class of 2024 SS/OF, from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest HS. Taylor is a noticeably athletic player with a solid skill set. A primary IF, Taylor shows easy, smooth, and advanced actions. Her first step quickness is impressive. She positions well and with routine effort. She plays through the fielding action with gathering momentum and her glovework is outstanding. She transitions well and her 53-mph throws are firm, hold their plane and are highly accurate. Solid defensive game. At the dish, this RHH shows a plus average ability to bunt the ball. She has an open stance at the ready and utilizes a more inside-out bat path. When on time and on plane, she can strike the ball. She did show an emerging ability to power the softball. That power element should continue to improve as her career continues, and she continues to gain both experience and strength. Taylor is so fundamentally sound that her game will continue to reach new heights. She will be, with continued attention to detail, and a solid practice regimen, a certain college prospect in a few years. Bright future!

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
