Tyler Roberts is a 2009 C/1B with a 6'1'', 205 lb. frame from Gray, GA who attends Jones County HS. Tyler is a very good defensive catcher. He showed excellent catch and throw skills in the workout with a 1.83 pop and arm strength, 81mph from behind the plate and it played very well in the games. At the plate he uses a spread stance and aggressive approach to make solid contact to all fields. He has strength in his swing and the ball comes off his bat well. He shows power potential especially to the pull side. Good all around high level catcher..
