Joey Salafia is a 2025 OF/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Killingworth, CT who attends IMG Academy. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Left handed hitter, hits from a narrow bent knee stance with a big hanging leg raise trigger, would benefit from getting his foot down earlier, swings hard and flashed some ability to drive the ball when he got his foot down, uphill swing path with future power potential. 7.52 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder who has good overall fundamentals, comes to the ball confidently and maintains his momentum through his throws, gets on top of the ball to create some carry, makes accurate one hop throws. Also played some first base with the same type of solid fundamental base. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
