KC Fall Softball Scouting Combine Morning Session
Addy Ward is a 5'6, class of 2023, OF/MIF from Bentonville, AR who attends Bentonville HS. Addy is an athletic upper class player who has well-honed skills and an easy style of play that is consistent. She ran a 3.53 20-yard dash with a 1.27 5-yard split. A primary outfielder, Addy is quick to position and plays through the fielding action with gathering momentum, Her glove is sure and her transition is in rhythm. Her plus arm strength is admirable and her throws are consistently accurate. Sound, projectable ability in the OF. At the plate, Addy has a calm and poised approach. She can handle the stick and has a plus grasp of/for bunting. She has noticeable strength in her operation. Balanced at the ready she shows athleticism and twitch in her swing. Addy has a quicker trigger and fires her hands well. She gets her barrel to and through contact with force. Emerging power, that could get even better over the course of her last two years in HS/travel ball, could complete her offensive arsenal. Sound approach. Promising bat! Addy is a plus prospect who has a solid skill level right now. That ability could make big jumps over the next two seasons. Definite plus upside. Collegiate prospect, without question!
