Arnav Vega is a 2028 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from New Milford, NJ. Lean, athletic frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.79 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Comes and gets the ball with some urgency, while displaying proper footwork into the fielding process. Gathers cleanly off his front foot and maintains some momentum into release. Delivered accurate throws up to 79 mph during drills with plenty of carry. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Uses rhythmic leg lift with hands working in unison into balance, incorporates a medium stride length out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the mid-70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 76 mph from a three-quarters arm slot. Strike thrower with developing command of all four quadrants, repeats well and flashed a promising slurve shaped breaking ball up to 68 mph. Simple operation with more velocity coming, will continue to improve with minor refinements and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, slightly open base with a lower hand set, lower back elbow and hanging leg lift trigger. Pull-side approach with uphill swing path and some looseness to his hands, incorporates rotational lower half movements and displayed some carry to the left-side of the field when on-time. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
