2023 Great Lakes Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Cooper Leibas is a 2026 C/RHP with a 5-10 158 lb. frame from Heath, OH who attends Newark Catholic. Recorded a 7.76 second 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a medium frame and slender build. Solid receiver behind the plate with lateral agility and flexibility to both sides. Side saddle stance on throws gaining ground with some present arm strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a compact delivery and clean arm stroke getting down the slope. Repeats his rhythmic delivery with a four-pitch mix and advanced feel on the mound. Fastball up to 79 mph (2115 RPM), curveball with depth at 64 mph (1908 RPM) and a slider with horizontal tilt at 69 mph (!924 RPM). Flashed a changeup at 72 mph (1341 RPM) with solid speed deferential between the offerings. Kept a two-strike slider up in the zone for only mistake of his outing. Added strength will increase spin rates as he matures. Right-handed hitter with an upright stance and high back elbow slot. Longer swing path with barrel wrap during separation. Middle to opposite field approach with strongest impact to the pull side when contact is out front. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
