Shawn Hoff is a 2025 SS/RHP/C with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Camden, NC who attends Camden County. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has good footwork moving laterally and gets low and in position to field the ball, gets the glove down early, strong overall fundamental actions, changes his slot well throwing, arm strength still developing but has a good defensive base to grow into. Right handed hitter, hits from a crouched open stance, has a short and level line drive swing plane with all fields contact, controls the barrel well. Also pitched, has a full windup with a high leg raise over the rubber. Fastball worked in the upper 70's and touched 80 mph, also threw a curveball that produced some swing/miss and a decent knuckleball. Good athlete with skills who just needs more strength. Good student.
