Nic Telepun is a 2023 C/UT with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Decatur, AL who attends Hartselle. Longer, lean build with emerging physicality and athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.17 seconds. Primary position C who receives the ball out front and uses a deliberate transfer as he prepares for his throws. Works from a slightly offset stance and gains ground very well creating momentum towards the bag. Gets his hand to his ear to keep his arm action compact and saw his throws reach 69 mph and a pop time best of 2.09 seconds. The glove is sound and showed solid movement behind the plate. RHH with a fairly narrow, tall setup, creating a full bat path as he turns the top hand over aggressively. Gets into his base well, creating force into the ground to help develop bat speed from the core. Generated really good back spin line drives when he stayed in the middle of the field to the oppo gap. Gets good extension through contact when on time and flashed pull side power with more to come with added strength. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
