Jackson Baird is a 2024 OF/ with a 6-4 175 lb. frame from Robinson, TX who attends Midway. Primary outfielder with a long lanky build with room to add strength moving forward. Showed solid speed with a 6.89 second sixty. Footwork to the ball is fine with some extra steps to the gather as he shuffle while gaining ground to the target. Arm strength shows up with low hard throws that topped out at 90 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts with an open base and high hand set. Simple stride into contact with a deep hand load to create separation. Works best up the middle to pull side with some feel to impact the ball at the point of extension as he did in game with multiple extra base hits. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.
