Dominic Longardino is a 2027 1B/RHP with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from East Meadow, NY who attends East Meadow. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength throughout frame. Ran an 8.95 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, deliberate tempo to footwork, will continue to refine lower half actions away from the bag, shorter arm action through the back with some effort at release, shows accuracy on throws to intended base. Also pitched, full windup with a long arm action through the back, gets to an over-the-top release point, tends to stride open coming down the mound. pitched to contact and worked around the zone, fastball topped out at 69 mph, misses came to arm side from opening early; mixed a short curveball up to 59 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Strength in hands, subtle shift through lower half and can implement additional weight shift moving into contact. Repeats swing well, works on a linear path and creates steady line drive contact while showing present bat speed through the zone. Ball jumps when squared, additional strength to unlock moving forward.
